a special 1 hour presentation by (Q & A afterwards) by
Richard Melnick Co-author of
Postcards of Long Island City
Postcards were the email of 100 years ago.
Richard Melnick, president of the Greater Astoria Historical Society,
will take us on a delightful excursion of the Long Island City and Astoria of years gone by.
Richard will be on hand after the slide lecture to answer your questions and sign copies of the book.
Whether you were born here, or moved to the neighborhood, with over 200 postcard images,
many rarely seen, the book is a must for any bookshelf in our community.
