Arthur Hammer

1) I am somewhat familiar.

2) Long Island City needs change, but it doesn't need it without regard for the community. The one thing they (Queens West) did recently was remove the bridge. There is very little charm here and it was wonderful. It was removed without being put before the community, which is inexcuseable.

3) I am thoroughly in favor of the Alternate Plan. I think we need to preserve as much of the waterfront as we can, we desperately need green space. I am in favor of lower buildings.

4) We need more park area and more places where people could go. I don't think that the high-rises should block out either the sun or the view, but Long Island City desperately needs a change.
