The Queens Symphonic Band will be celebrating it's 40th year concert at Queensborough Community College in Bayside on Sat. evening ,December 10, 2011 at 8PM in "A Salute to New York Composers".
In honor of American contributions to theWorld of Music, the concert program will include compositions by Leonard Bernstein,Irving Berlin, and John Philip Sousa who were all New York residents.
Our present New York residents and audience will be reminded of the legacy of these wonderful Americans and New Yorkers in each category of music with Classical,Pops, Marches, and Jazz.
.Dr. Bernard Rose is the Music Director.

In addition,I will be conducting "Overture to the Marriage of Figaro"by Mozart
