Where on Earth is LIC?Where on Earth is LIC?Long Island City is the Southernmost and Westernmost tip of Queens (NY) along the East River. It is bounded on the South by the Newtown Creek which divides Queens and Brooklyn. To the North it meets the community of Astoria and to the East, the community of Sunnyside. Long Island City itself is divided into smaller areas which include Hunters Point, Dutch Kills, Queensbridge, Ravenswood, and Hallets Cove among other lesser remembered names (such as Blissville).
